Ghost World

How many of us have finished Ghost World? Did anyone else find it odd that Enid seems to hate many things or people that have similar beliefs to herself? Is that the sort of conflicted-angstyness that was supposedly thoughout the book?

It seemed to me that Enid just hated everyone and everything. I think she doesn't have any strong opinions except that the world sucks.

If this book shows the teen angst we should all be suffering from about now, I am SO glad I can't see it.
Anyways, I think Enid was just trying to attract attention to herself. However, I am confused as to why Rebecca and Josh would hang out with her. Also, why was everyone else short of ugly, weird, bizarre, or yes?

I think Enid just can't stand people like herself. In the book, she did mention a few times that she hated herself, and she wanted to become a complete new person.

I think that its about Enid trying to find herself and a way to fit in the world. I also think its a transition summer for both Becky and Enid since they start off being immature and gradually mature as time passes. Also, how are we supposed to explain the composition of the panels?
